Happy Weekend! Yay! We made it through another week, a cold one at that. I saw this dress in Vegas and was like meh when I saw it, but once I tried it on it was in the shopping bag. It has such a cute cut and shape. I decided I needed to spice the outfit up with some fun colored shoes. I love green and yellow together. They are such a happy colors.

The lace at the bottom of the dress is a slip. I stumbled onto these amazing slips that add length to my dresses and skirts which definitely broadened my wardrobe selection for work.

Oh I am so excited to share this ombre sweater with you. The moment I laid my eyes on it at Forever21 while we were shopping in Vegas I knew it was a must have.

Now let me paint a little picture for you...My darling husband has a passionate hate for the Forever21 in Vegas. It is two levels, has loud music playing at all time and I could spend hours in there shopping and browsing deciding what I want! Wes refuses to leave me in there a lone because I pretty sure he knows I would leave with the whole store if I could.

So, within the first 5 minutes of being in the store I spotted this beauty and had it in my paws the whole time I browsed through the store, but then the little voice in my head kept saying "do you really need this?" Of course the answer was no so I felt guilty and Wes looked absolutely miserable so I left the store with no prizes.

As the day went on I told Wes I needed the sweater, it was a must have. So not only did Wes have to spend an hour in Forever21 the first day, but he had to go back for a second which you know was bad news bears because I saw things I missed the first day. So the moral of the story is if you see something you want buy it the first time and don't take your husbands into Forever21 with you!

I have this weird obsession with tops that zip and button up the back. I know it's a weird quarky thing I look for in clothing, but I think it adds a fun twist. So, you could imagine how excited I was when I found this peter pan collar top from Forever 21 that buttons up the back. If you ever see any fun tops like this please think of me...
And how about this fabulous Michael Kors bag I found. I am loving boxy and square purses right now. It is so much easier to organize all of my goodies.

Hello! Happy Martin Luther King Day! I hope you are as lucky as I am to be celebrating with a day off of work. I hope you had a fabulous weekend! I have been so excited to share this outfit with you. For as long as I can remember I have always loved Andy Warhol's collection including his Campbell's Soup painting. It is so simple, but so classic. So, you could imagine my excitement when I found this tank from Forever 21. I love red and gold together so I paired the tank with my gold speckled leopard pants and a red blazer.

On a side note I am growing out my hair or trying anyway. It has been a very slow process, but I have decided to challenge myself by trying to style my hair different ways and try new things. I am a girl who needs some spunk in her life so if I can express it with a spiky pixie cut then I will find other ways to do.

So, I bet you can't guess where this outfit is from (wink, wink)! This outfit came together so fittingly. First, I bought this sweater with a gift card I got for Christmas. Then these pants were a total necessity I fell in love with them the moment I saw them. Printed jeans are a total must this year and the boots... everyone needs a pair of blue shoes. At least that is what I tell myself, I just couldn't resist.

Every morning is an adventure when taking pictures for the blog. We are constantly taking a new route to work to find new locations to take pictures and sometimes new places involve an audience even at 7 o'clock in the morning. There was a gentleman in the local bakery who was enjoying the photo shoot so all I could do was wave at him. It's a good thing I don't get embarrassed easily.  

Day 1 {Fashionable Accessories to Keep your Warm}

The snow has began to fall and baby it's cold outside. So, who says you can't keep warm in style? I pulled out all of the stops today with my leggings, galoshes, ear muffs, scarf, and gloves. I about fell off my rocker when I saw these adorable ear muffs from Forever 21 ($5). I remember wearing these as a kid. Plus it's a nice change from the knit head wraps we have all been wearing for years.

You can never have too many sweaters. I love this one I found from Forever 21. It has a unique texture to it. 

I cleaned out my closet over the weekend, which was long over due. It was like a little surprise party finding all sorts of things I forgot I even had. I got rid of so many shoes and tops that I have no intentions of ever wearing so I decided instead of taking them to the D.I. I would drop them off at the homeless shelter. 

I have been doing a lot of thinking this holiday season that Christmas is just more than present giving and eating. It's about helping those in need and giving to others who may not be as fortunate as me!

Creative Dressing + Giveaway Winner

I love every bit of this polka dot dress right down to the bows on the shoulder, but it is one of those dresses that isn't very comfortable to sit in because it rides up all day. So, I decided to play a little creative dress-up. I  found this tulle bandeau dress in my closet I got from Forever 21 years ago and wore it under the polka dot dress like a slip. Then I wrapped it all about with this fabulous bow belt from H&M. It is so fun to layer your clothing to create a different look plus with it getting chilly outside the more layers the better!

Gold Rush

If you could only see my photographer (my mom) and I every morning taking pictures. It is a freaking comedy show. Today we found a little coffee shop called the Jitter Bug that had this amazing red wall. Well I could not stop laughing because this guy just stood there and watched our photo shoot. So awkward, but hilarious!

I was feeling a gold rush this morning when I got ready. I dig these Rock & Republic snake skin print pants I got from Kohl's. I paired them this sparkly gold sweater I got from Smith's Market Place. I find clothes from the most random places, but I love the randomness of my attire.

Don't ever be ashamed of where you shop or what you wear because different is beautiful!
