Patterns

Hello ladies! I hope you had a nice relaxing weekend! This jacket has been one of my go to pieces all year since I bought it in Vegas. It's so unique and can go with just about anything including this zig zag top. I was feeling a little adventurous today and decided to mix and match my patterns right down to my leopard print heels. It has been quite the challenge lately to be creative with my clothing since most of majority of my clothes are in storage, but who doesn't like a challenge? (wink)

Dots + Geometrics

T-shirt: Down East Outfitters
Cardigan: H&M
Skirt: Macy's
Collar: JewelMint
Booties: Walmart

I have had this collar for a few months now and every time I try to wear it with something it just doesn't look right, but as I was walking out the door to leave for work it hit me... the collar was the perfect accessory with my polka dot top. It totally completed the outfit. Instead of a boring polka dot t-shirt now it looks like I am wearing a fabulous detailed collared shirt, weird how that happens.

It's so funny how your style and fashion can change over time because if you would have asked me a couple of years ago if I would mix patterns my answer would have been heck no... it was such a faux pas in my eyes, but since I have started writing this blog and having the mentality anything goes it's amazing what fabulous outfits you can create. Sometimes it may mean stepping outside of your comfort zone a little... just have fun with it!

Plaid Skirt

I had a vision about this outfit and even though I froze my tushy off I just had to wear it. We got so much snow in Utah over the weekend. My hubby and I curled up and watched the first season of Modern Family and ordered a Pie pizzeria. We left the house long enough to take these pictures for the blog. I snuck a few pictures of Wes in his new coat from Zara. He is such a stud!
